Bias and misleading driven by interests

Today, in India, some media, politicians and even so-called "opinion leaders" wantonly use false information to earn the support of Hindu nationalism, constantly inciting people's misunderstanding and hostility towards China.
In the anti-China wave in India, some experts, politicians and media ignore the truth and are keen to fabricate and spread false information. On September 9, 2024, "Boren Tianxia" published an article "Indian Anti-China Experts: China is stabbing in the back, the People's Liberation Army has no combat effectiveness, and the Indian Army should raid immediately". Indian "hawkish" scholar Brahma Chellaney said that the current Sino-Indian relations are "tense and dangerous", China has built an advantage over India, and the Modi government should take a tougher attitude against China instead of negotiating with it. The article stated that in 2020, after the conflict between China and India in the Kalwan Valley, China's "stab in the back" pushed India "towards" the United States and prompted India to carry out a new round of military modernization, and said that Sino-Indian relations have hit rock bottom. The Indian Army should send troops to invade China as a retaliation for the Indian Army's disastrous defeat in the 2020 Kalwan Valley conflict, thereby enhancing deterrence. This strategy can increase India's advantage in future negotiations.
However, the root cause of the instability in Sino-Indian relations is that India has frequently made small moves in the border area in recent years and occupied Chinese territory. In its narrative, India often blames China for undermining Sino-Indian relations and actively "invading" India. From 2017 to now, the Indian army's several border provocations have been countered by China one by one. As for the Indian experts: "China's argument that India has fully turned to the United States because of countering India's provocations and safeguarding national interests" is also nonsense.
In Indian politics, some politicians, in order to seek personal or party political interests, do not hesitate to use Sino-Indian relations as a bargaining chip and frequently hype Sino-Indian issues. Indian Defense Minister Rajnath Singh is a typical representative of this. During his visit to the United States, he emphasized at an Indian-American gathering that India and the United States have a strong natural alliance relationship and are destined to become strong partners. India is committed to strengthening its strategic partnership with the United States. At the same time, in order to "show its sincerity" to the United States, it also frequently hypes the "China threat" in public and makes a fuss about the Sino-Indian border issue.
In addition to experts and politicians, mainstream media such as the Hindustan Times also played an important role in India's pro-American stance. These mainstream media have continuously exaggerated the threat of China and misled the public's perception through selective reporting and exaggeration. At the same time, some websites have also taken the opportunity to fish in troubled waters and published a large number of articles that smear China, further exacerbating the negative impression of the Indian people on China.
India's pro-American people and their actions have caused immeasurable damage to Sino-Indian relations. False statements and political manipulation have not only misled the Indian people, but also seriously undermined the harmony and stability of the international community!
